The vaccine supply in Ohio and across the country remains limited. Ohio's college students can help keep themselves, their friends, and their schools safe by masking up, backing up, washing up, and avoiding crowds. http://bit.ly/OhioVaccine

Pop-up mass vaccination clinics will also be coming to Columbus and Cincinnati around the same time the Cleveland site opens. These locations will each offer 12,500 first doses and guaranteed second doses for those vaccinated at the clinics. More info on these sites to come.pic.twitter.com/iAQxi8Igpk

We'll also be working with community partners to set up state-sponsored mass vaccination clinics across the state - some with the capacity to vaccinate up to 3,000 people a day. These sites will be permanent until no longer needed. Some sites will even be mobile.pic.twitter.com/oNhtGplFNo

Our path back is by each of us getting vaccinated when we can, and by each of us wearing masks in public. While no one will be forced to take the vaccine, the more of us who are vaccinated, the more complete our victory, and the more confidently we can put this behind us.

NEW: When Ohio gets down to 50 cases per 100,000 people for two weeks, all health orders will come off. Cases per 100,000 people for a two-week period is a standard measure we have used since early in the pandemic.

The vaccine is the most efficient, effective, and powerful weapon. Our vaccination plan has been to prioritize Ohioans most likely to die if they get the virus: older Ohioans, those with severe developmental disabilities, and those with serious, life-threatening medical condition

Ohio is a true leader in getting our kids back in school. We have vaccinated over 200,000 educators in just four weeks in February. And today, nearly 95% of our kids are back in school for in person learning.

This has been a tough year. Many have lost a parent, a grandparent, a sibling, a spouse, and some have even lost a child. Yet we did what Ohioans always do-- we rallied together. We sacrificed. We worked hard to protect the most vulnerable.

One year ago today, our battle against COVID-19 began. That was our first full day in this fight, and none of us then fully understood the battle ahead.
