I am so thankful that Maryland has an armed officer in all their schools. This could have been so much worse. My heart goes out to those students
They are not in all schools, we are dealing with this now.
Sorry the schools in our area all have an off-duty police officer or Sheriff present in the school everyday. I didn't realize you don't have them in your area. Hope you get them soon.
They are not in one middle school and no elementary or primary schools.
“No one should have to fear their child being harmed when sent to school”. Then FORTIFY FIRST!!!! Worry about gun laws, police responses, pshchology of shooters, and prevention reporting LAST. GET it?

Uh...the SRO, highly trained as a swat team member, quickly stopped the shooter, apparently w/a single shot, neutralizing him, preventing further casualties. What exactly is your point?
It's not clear if the shooter killed himself with a self inflected shot. The SRO accidently shot the 14 year old boy. Check out the end of the press conference
Then why haven't you done something before now or are you waiting for the Feds? You can do something now for your own state. You don't need a federal law to increase the safety in your own states' schools. You're the governor. Govern.

Thank goodness you guys had armed resource security officer on campus! This could’ve been a horrible situation. Thankful he acted versus standing down & took the shooter out! Maybe his death will discourage future school shooters at arms schools #GreatMillsHighSchool has a HERO
