We have already persevered. Neighborhood businesses survived and even thrived. Your real estate developer friends need to realize they’re selling an overpriced product that no one wants or needs anymore.

Throughout the pandemic we ordered in from local establishments at least once a week and tipped heavily.

If I was able to successfully (even more successfully, in some cases) perform my job from home for 2 years, why would I ever want to go back to wasting time away from my wife and children doing a commute when I could be spending more time with the people I love?

Been a BIG fan of yours since you took office and still am. But this is a bad bet. Covid and climate change have altered society forever. We overdeveloped NYC and put sky scrapers where we didn’t need them. Knock ‘em down and invest in our communities. Bring back the sunlight.

Italy has done the same silly mistake of forcing people back in the office just to have them eating cheap food out at lunch (among other mistakes) Numbers are rising again. So are the deaths It's decent policy to promote home work where possible in a deadly pandemic
