Today we created the Women Veterans Advisory Committee to help @NewYorkVeterans locate, educate, and advocate for all New York women veterans. 2/
We’re looking out for veterans who are acclimating back to civilian life after service. Our new task force will help veterans find jobs to support themselves and their families. 3/
Military families sacrifice so much for our service members, and we must support them, too. We’ll give military spouses access to unemployment benefits if they’re transferred, ensure spouses and children receive in-state tuition, and more. 4/
Legislation signed today guarantees veterans who served starting on November 1, 1955 receive the same benefits as all other Vietnam veterans. 5/
Today’s bill signings are just a start. We must continue working to support our veterans and give back for all they’ve given us. 6/6
