I remember decades ago watching a friend panic because his syringes from VA had not yet arrived and the mindless Rockefeller drug laws made it almost impossible for him to just go buy new ones. It's a shame that New York took so long to fix -- and helped make HIV spread more.

We know safe access to syringes is hugely beneficial for public health. You shouldn’t risk going to jail for having one.
