This will make sure those currently and formerly incarcerated have access to the medicine they need to beat their addiction.
We are establishing an online directory for distributors of opioid antagonists – such as Naloxone – making them more accessible for New Yorkers who may want to access these life-saving medications.
We are ensuring no one has to think twice about carrying Naloxone and other life-saving opioid antagonists.
When someone is charged with possession of a controlled substance, these medications cannot be used as evidence.
And we are expanding opportunities for treatment over incarceration, providing New Yorkers a greater chance for successful, long-term rehabilitation.

I remember decades ago watching a friend panic because his syringes from VA had not yet arrived and the mindless Rockefeller drug laws made it almost impossible for him to just go buy new ones. It's a shame that New York took so long to fix -- and helped make HIV spread more.
