Getting NY's children & staff back to the classroom safely is a top priority and today we announced the #VaxToSchool campaign to encourage our school-aged eligible New Yorkers to #getvaccinated.
Young people are still vulnerable to COVID and it's important they get vaccinated.

Why is there no remote option!? Some of these kids can’t be vaccinated, or live with grandparents. Some parents just don’t feel comfortable sending them back. Give a remote option for those that want it! Some kids actually thrived last year.

It's not easy for a school or a teacher to do both. The kids need to go back now after a year and a half. This could linger on another year or two.
