Getting children back to school safely is one of my highest priorities. To that end, I am immediately directing the Department of Health to institute universal masking for anyone entering our schools.

We would love a remote learning option again this year. It worked well for my family last year and with delta, I'm not quite ready to send my son physically into school yet. At least for half a year?

They should leave the remote option in place for those who need/want it. It’s the right thing to do. They will still need to have a plan in place regardless in the event classes/schools have to quarantine, so it only makes sense to offer it outright.
