I want to know the entire program – what’s happening before and after I’m speaking, who is saying what so I deliver a fresh message. What points can I make to show I understand my audience? What is the State’s response or action?#HowSheDoesIt1 reply 1 retweet 1 likeShow this thread -

If I read to an audience, may as well make copies of text for them to read solo. Speak to them directly. Occasional glance at notes is fine, but make constant eye contact.#HowSheDoesIt pic.twitter.com/PU5Nc0kJJb1 reply 1 retweet 1 likeShow this thread -

Relate to topic with a shared experience and leave your audience feeling appreciated for what they do every day. Share personal stories – give audience a piece of yourself.#HowSheDoesIt pic.twitter.com/3VhqeDAh3X1 reply 2 retweets 12 likesShow this thread

RULE #5: Be confident when making a speech – even if the topic is totally foreign to you.
