Why does @empirestatedev have so few women on the board and in leadership ? With so little diversity in the top investment group for the Great State of NY, it's no wonder that women and black entrepreneurs are overlooked.
Not that we need any more bad news for women, but capital invested in women entrepreneurs dropped 48% since the pandemic hit. Kudos to @empirestatedev for launching Built by Women series to connect founders w/ funders.

We applied through NYS to be a women-owned certified business over a year ago and are waiting for it to be reviewed by the state. We are told by ESD that they do not have the manpower available to handle the volume of applications.
