A fascinating map. The words "Omaha Beach" are fairly close to Omaha beach, but the filled circle is Utah beach. The destination arrow leads to, I'm pretty sure. "La Haye du Puits". This was the push which cut off Cherbourg. On our wall at home, we have a framed map of where my father-in-law, Bill Hochul landed at Omaha Beach two months after D-Day and was part of a tank division that helped liberate Europe.
