Becuz the workforce has been dominated by men and men still think that other men should be paid more than women. They will start a man out at a higher pay then a woman..even if she is doing same job. Men stick up for men and so women should always stick up for othr women on job.
Share this with parents of girls and teachers you know. Closing the “confidence gap” early may help reduce pay gap later. Hard work and discipline help girls outperform boys in class, but that advantage disappears in the workforce.
