    Governor Jeff Colyer Retweeted CJOnline

64 years ago a young girl from Topeka brought a case that ended segregation in public schools in America. Linda Brown's life reminds us that sometimes the most unlikely people can have an incredible impact and that by serving our community we can truly change the world. #ksleghttps://twitter.com/CJOnline/status/978371462703865861 …

At 5 years old, I had to ride the city bus across town to attend Kindergarten at the all Negro school - Barlette. Each day my mother wrote a note to the bus driver so I could ride. The following year in 1955, I was one of 2 children who attended the white school - Washington.

U know what else u can do to honor her memory? Protecting&respecting trans & L,G,or B kids in public schools. Instead of pushing the same type of uncivilized un-American Jim Crow bigotry on them that was pushed on Linda Brown. Just saying. Maybe change the world for those kids.

She should be allow to lay in repose in the state capital. Her contribution to the country for that act could have cost her life and family.

"the most unlikely people can have an incredible impact". You condescending, patronizing, insensitive jerk. Just who would have been "likely" to challenge segregated education? Who wouldn't have been surprising? Who would have been worthy of such "an incredible impact".
