Except those choices effect the other kids, too. Not wearing a mask is a selfish and reckless. I wouldn't let my kid get in a car with another kid whose parents let them drink. I wouldn't send my kid to school with a peanut butter cookies if another kid had a severe allergy.

I wouldn't let my kid ride a bike without a helmet, either, but if another parent wanted to let theirs, that's on them. That wouldn't effect my child and so personal choice, in that situation, is ok. Is this that hard to understand?
