Tonight, Jacob Blake was shot in the back multiple times, in broad daylight, in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Kathy and I join his family, friends, and neighbors in hoping earnestly that he will not succumb to his injuries.

I have said all along that although we must offer our empathy, equally important is our action. In the coming days, we will demand just that of elected officials in our state who have failed to recognize the racism in our state and our country for far too long.

There are reports he was tazed and shook it off. Did he have a history of weapons violations? Did he threaten to shoot the officers as he was reaching? There's a ton we don't know... maybe wait a bit to stir up violence mister leader...

Lack of empathy at the death of a human being is mind boggling and heart breaking. This man was shot 7 times at point blank range in car full of children. The best you can say about these sorry excuses for policemen is that they are grossly incompetent...
