Food delivery man Zhu Xian biked nearly 60 miles to make 34 deliveries; he said he earned a little more than $80. He says e-bikes are essential to his work. "There's no way to ride a regular bike.” http://gothamist.com/2018/04/26/e-bike_immigants_nypd_nyc.php#photo-1 …pic.twitter.com/liNjBaapmG

How did delivery guys made it before electric bikes?

Why no mention in the article of what exploitive assholes the employers, like this Yudi Burnama, are? In the article, he seems sympathetic, but his comments essentially say "Fuck the delivery guys, they're on their own". Identify his restaurant so we can boycott!

Maybe deliveries were slower, food was colder, and deliverers made less money in a night? E-bikes are only a cancer because they don’t follow the rules of the automobile.

So we’re in agreement that they should be regulated like automobiles?

Sad, that some rougue operators brought upon the enforcement action.

The enforcement push was brought on by a wealthy white guy complaining to the Mayor.

And you are comfortable with them operating without obeying traffic rules, riding on sidewalk ?

No. So punish THAT behavior. But instead they are spending resources that could be saving lives ticketing these guys simply for having the bike, not even because they rode on the sidewalk. It has nothing to do with that. It's ridiculous.
