Thank your @NYPDShea! In my Manhattan neighborhood, people worry far more about cyclists running red lights and riding on sidewalks than they do cars.
(Please keep it up -- we need *more* enforcement.)

Just cause you’re irrationally afraid of bikes doesn’t mean the NYPD should up enforcement on them. Dual axle trucks aren’t even legal in the city and yet they’re never given tickets. Cars and trucks kill hundreds of people each year, how many people do cyclists kill?

@CoreyinNYC this is nutty. As if bikes could even be compared to trucks in this context -
The trucks re-stock grocery stores and your CVS. We didn’t have traffic problems in NYC until we set aside 25% of our street space for bike lanes used by 200 people.

The difference is Trucks actually stop at red light when people are crossing the street. I have had was too many cyclists pass by me then stop feet away when cars are crossing in front of them. Now they are stopped in the crosswalk while people have to walk around them.

I don’t see
dozens of trucks running lights, going the wrong way on one way street& riding on sidewalks, without lights -
Then you're not looking for them...

Good. Not defending motorists here, but in certain bike heavy areas they’re an absolute nightmare. Clowns on wheels.

I got a ticket barely walking a bike across the street when the cross street was closed to crossing traffic. Cyclists are ATMs for cops on a quota to meet to bring in revenue
-
exactly. That's why it's $200 if you go through a red light on a bike and like $50 in a car.
