I honestly think a community event where players could find syphers out in the game world, solve the puzzle then get an item to power opening the door in a collaborative effort would have been a better event for this final forge.
This event definitely felt like a "watch this unfold" and as a stream, thats cool, BUT... Im a bit fan of the sum of the whole rather than the efforts of the few in certain scenarios. Opening a big door feels like it coulda been an US moment, when itll end up being a THEM moment.
I was talking about this earlier, I really wish it was more mass community participation or something that encourages us all to play than a super hard activity only a few will complete.
Having multiple global unlock moments that teams could work towards to reach the grand finale unlock would be incredible
I agree. It feels exclusionary. I don't have a fireteam to attempt this with, so I just get to wait for someone else to unlock it. Boring.
To me if felt like a community event. Between streams, Twitter, and reddit everyone was trying to figure it out. What would have made it feel different if it were out in the wild vs a room? Easier?
Yeah this did feel like a community event to me personally. I felt involved in things like the level 5 map in chat. Everyone giving different possible ways the maps overlap
This event, imo, should have started last week. Be a mystery type of event with certain doors being able to be opened on certain days. Or some variation that required the week to work through. Give it a community effort, with the final day (today) being the last major key/event.
