Genuine fear: If you look at supply chain attack targets, #1 = Microsoft. They good. #2 = antivirus and InfoSec companies. Risky business.

It's been a pet peeve of mine for years. Most developers/researchers I speak to fully agree. But legacy. And budgets.
I think it's a legit concern. AV companies are installed on billions of devices. They're going to get targeted.
At this Gartner Security conference - it's biggest they've ever had- I haven't seen a single AV vendor yet. Yet they're installed everywhere

No idea why that would be. AV people tend to be quite active in the conference circuit.
