For some reason Equifax used the 6 weeks to setup a new domain asking for SSN numbers, with anonymous Whois on Cloudflare

I mean, it's an untrusted third party asking for your SSN so that's probably fair.

Google have since cleared the phishing entry. They had it added on their phishing list.

Hmmm... Surely Equifax should be contacting effected customers directly, not vice versa?? They have details and know who were compromised

The problem is most of them aren't customers - they're a credit database so they harvest details of other people.
