Common sense isn't following claims without evidence. The orgs being briefed aren't security cleared, so aren't getting any evidence either.

I'm not sure that's true. FBI briefing sensitive but unclassified data that we don't have. Even the existence of the briefings was secret.

I don't think the FBI hoped to entice orgs to make huge investments to change AV on "trust us, it's bad"
