Twitter doesn't support 4K images, so it downsides from UltraHD to HD which is 4 times lower resolution. Also compresses images horribly.

Huge geek: Also doesn't support HDR, which is 10 billion colour possibilities per pixel as opposed to 17 million, so it strips the colour.
I mean most phones and PCs don't have 4K displays and HDR yet either. But anyhoo modern consoles and TVs look lovely.

Wouldn't ever want to watch so much as a tv programme or a film on a phone anyway, but I guess that's just one extra thing showing my age
