Personally I'm not sure people are specially targeting shipping as lots of the issues are across all industries.
E.g. If you deploy systems which are mission critical to driving a big boat on Windows and have no AV and enable USB, it's going to end bad.

What does USB have to do with it? Are they running on WinXP SP1 or something?

If not worse.... The problem is, that they have no anti-virus or any form of CS protection there apart from the OS they are using.
