Its such a solid lat vector. I'm honestly surprised this is the first time we've seen it with this level of impact.
One thing it exposes is how easy corps can be owned. This is REALLY basic stuff apparently a lot of people haven't got down.

Agreed, but I do put some blame squarely on limited monitoring and logging of WMI until Windows 8-ish.

WMI is pretty scary security wise. It will see lots more fun abuse. Keeps me employed I guess.

MS has always had an issue with hash and token passing. What it's missing is a good way to mitigate those techniques.
