Everybody goes after the flashy flashy, but the tried and true simple abuse of admin tools is reliable, harder to block, and quieter.
Yep automating lateral movement with credential stealing is golden. It's a natural escalation for ransomware.

I'm surprised it took so long for WannaCry too, that was easily scriptable. Also no new variants after either, so easy to make.

Hopefully people will wake up to using private VLANs, credential guard, etc. This may be easier for people to see than PtH, etc
