Interesting thing about Emotet is it steals SMTP credentials from victims and uses them to spam with so mails often pass SPF/DKIM checks.
No, they steal creds from endpoint and then send emails remotely.

Yeah it looks like that. You can run it from the shortcut it dumps in C:\Users\Public\Start Menu\Startup too
