If MS wasn't abandoning Windows 10 Mobile, phones with it would still be pretty good solutions for some security-conscious use cases. (If.)
They're not abandoning it, just their hardware. OEMs supposed to pick up slack, at least in theory.

Some reports give impression that the OS flavor itself is headed to graveyard this year or next. Perhaps replaced by Win10 on ARM on phones.
