Yesterday, Our GA was a huge success with over 200 eligible workers making their way to the depths of Neukölln and most committing themselves to a 6 hour-long democratic process to protect the little bit of autonomy that low-level workers possess at (1/5)

The bosses were not satisfied with being blacklisted. It was clearly specified in advance that NO management was welcome, yet they showed up, harassed and threatened the hostesses, tried sneaking in through other doors. (2/5)
When the bosses realized they won’t be coming in, they ordered a black coach bus and invited workers to go to the Biergarten with them instead. Some went along ditching the democratic process. (3/5)

Most of the workers attending the GA were engaged throughout the entire process. A lot of questions asked, a lot of amazing proposals made. The Wahlvorstand will be composed of 9 people, 100% GWC. (4/5)

Instead of congratulating us on the results of the election, all Gorillas workers in Berlin received the following email at 23.55 from CEOs Office.

Why would you exclude HR staff for example? Or lower leadership staff? They have a right to vote and unionize also.
