I'm the same. I've lived in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow (for 47 years now). Never an issue.

Been doing it for 7 years mate. Nothing, not an iota ever happened other than being asked “what team do you support?” Or getting “Ohhhh I love your accent”. That’s it.

Why quote this when you know the report was not based on the Holyrood constituency, and Loughbrough University have said they've updated their research?

Independence is part of Scotland's recovery from covid-19, not a hindrance to it. It's naive to think we can have a just recovery with the Tories looming over us.

In the midst of all that there was a sign of a real difference in outlook. Willie Rennie - "We can't change anything until we've returned things to how they were pre-pandemic." Patrick Harvie - "Recovery is a chance to radically change things for the better from pre-pandemic."

Just heard say he thinks it will be ten years before there's an independence referendum because of the damage done by Covid. If we wait ten years there will be sod all left of Scotland's industry and democracy because of and Westminster. Bugger that Iain

Just finalised talk on implications of UK Internal Market Act 2020 for devolved policymaking by Scotland / Wales in field of public health, e.g. strategies to combat illness & deaths arising from tobacco / alcohol / obesity. Key points in short thread, for those interested:

I'm English, so I have no dog in the fight, certainly no vote, but Sturgeon seems to be wiping the floor with the rest of the leaders, though the Harvie guy is giving it a good show. I wish we had this level of politician down here in England (in more supply)

I see Mr "how dare you challenge my status of an ally just because I run to the defence of prominent transphobes who happen to by my party partisan allies" has done it yet again. Standing up to bigots requires challenging allies, too. Not just when it's politically convenient.

Douglas Ross is a deeply unlikeable person. If you don’t know who he is, I envy you.

Really tired of Douglas Ross blaming his constituents for his appalling views on ethnic minorities and equal marriage.

Not true. Independence is far more likely to generate jobs than lose them. Just look at our peers.

I personally know people who used to be perfectly fine, got involved with the "gender critical" movement, and turned very strange indeed. It is a cult, there's no better word for it. And it unhinges its followers. I've watched it happen in real time.

Chris Deerin blocked me ages ago for putting him right on something so I'm not going to feel any guilt in telling him this is the biggest piece of populist fact free drivel I've read for a long time.
