Things ALU did which are unheard of: 1. Filing for an election with only 30% of cards 2. Organizing a 8000+ member unit at once. 3. Winning with no formal union backing. 4. Beating Amazon. Even just one of those things we'd be calling it the shake up of the century.

Project Vivian started *right after* the walkout. Almost immediately. Google wants to spin the firings as unrelated to unions but that distinction doesn't make sense, isn't present in law, and isn't how they saw it when they started the union suppression project. 2/

Despite Google's absurd statement in the article, these latest document snippets are extremely vindicating for me. I've said for a while that companies like Google don't actually see a difference between "unionization" and organizing around issues. 1/

  9. INTERESTING reading that Google's anti-union campaign Project Vivian wanted a "respected" voice to pen an anti-union op-ed if “there would be no fingerprints and not Google specific" makes me wonder how often other tech companies have done this already

I worked in Apple retail for five years. We had to harass corporate for years to provide insurance that would cover any doctor in our city. Customers would harass and abuse us with impunity, all while we had less and less time allotted to solve problems.
