Thanks for the info. Let's try clearing the app's cache: Settings > Apps > Google Play Music > Clear cache > Restart device. Let us know if that helps!

Try clearing the app data as well: Settings > Apps > Google Play Music > Storage > Clear Data. This will delete any offline music though.
