So here we are 6 months later and still "Unfortunately, podcasts are not yet available in your country". Any updates at all?

I found a work around and now have podcasts and the ability to tags people in photos in Google photo as well. You just need to take a virtual holiday to the United states via a VPN :) no idea what the hold up is for official UK release.
