@GooglePlayMusic where have all (sub)genres gone and will they return (when)? Tried your support forums etc, no info. Discovery is hard now.

unfortunately not; there used to be genres under new releases, top charts. Also, explore (disappeared completely). Odd move

That's odd, Matthias. You should be able to view the genre drop-down list for new releases both on the web & in-app.

Hmm. Just to clarify, have you tried these steps: Play Music app>Three-line menu>New releases>Select genre from drop-down?
