So yesterday @GooglePlayMusic brought up The Last Five Years. How nice, I thought, a musical featuring Anna Kendrick!

It was not a huge pick-me-up. It forgoed the standard structure (ascent, reversal, descent) by coming at it from both directions at once.

So it's just a roller coaster of sadness with a short break from the misery in the middle for one song of mutual happiness.

@thebitterguy I listen to the original cast album all the time. But I'm used to listening to musicals and feeling sad.
