Mind checking if you're using a YouTube brand account? Google Play Music accounts cannot be transferred to YouTube Brand Accounts – if you’re using one, you’ll be asked to switch to a personal account in order to start the transfer process. More info here: http://yt.be/help/NGzn

I am using a YouTube account that is not my personal name, if that's a 'brand account', yes. I don't use my personal YouTube account. Ever. What use would having my GPM songs and playlists there, be? :-(

Well, just for laughs I'm transferring it now. Though it's completely useless. Why would I ever want to be logged into YouTube as my real name? What a screwup! :-(
