I think @youtubemusic just thinks I like shitty music and plays what it thinks is good instead.

That’s a terrible way to create you’re algorithm. Just because I listened to the Beatles one day doesn’t mean I want to hear it right after I start a 90’s punk rock station.
@GooglePlayMusic doesn’t do this. Why does@youtubemusic ?
Google Play Music has a feature that works similarly with YouTube Music. If you dislike or thumbs down a song that will prevent it from being recommended in the future. More info about it here: https://yt.be/help/4TPb

1/2 I regularly create radio stations with
@GooglePlayMusic and you can listen for hours with similar bands playing one after another. Other than songs I have hated I have never thumbs downed anything. On@youtubemusic this is not the case. 2/3 I created a station with the band That Dog and the song Minneapolis (early 90’s Indy rock) on both yesterday. GPM then played bands such as Superchunk, Rainer Maria etc. YTM played first The Beatles and then other 60’s crap. ...

3/3 GPM seems to take heavily from the similar artist section. YTM does not. If I thumbs down everything I don’t want to hear at the moment I am thumbs downing it for any time not just that moment. Sometimes i might want to hear the Beatles but not then
