Serious question, how does @youtubemusic replace @GooglePlayMusic if the app can't even play in the background? Seriously?

Jumping in to clarify – you can still download your purchased music using the web player and the copy will be saved to your computer. Just follow the steps outlined in this help resource: https://yt.be/help/8iXb . This way, you can continue listening to the songs you bought.

Only twice... And I have uploaded a lot of music to Google Play Music, that was the point, my music conviently saved. I could play it on my phone, Google Home, pc at work. It was such abetter service than Spotify, YouTube music just feels like Google's version of Spotify.

Instead of providing a unique service, this feels like a copy. I'm sure it is all about the money, but doesn't feel worth it to me.
