Meanwhile, @GooglePlayMusic told me I had too many devices authorised. Apparently you get a max of 10. It sent me to a page where I could sort it out. It listed 7 devices. None of them with useful/helpful names.
I'm sure 7 is less than 10.
If you had 10 authorized devices before and you've removed 4 times already, you'd have to wait for a year so you can add/remove devices again. But then again, no need to bc if this isn't the case, you can reach out to our support team: http://yt.be/help/i16t

Okay, thanks. Nope, never removed a device as far as I know. Especially not in the last 12 months. Didn't even know there was a limit. The fact it showed 7 in the list and let me remove one and then worked is the odd part.

Genuine question, not just being argumentative: if you are using Google products and services loyally (and heavily), why should you have to wait a year before making changes. If you already have 10 devices registered, you're likely a gadget fan not someone gaming the system.
