Why are @GooglePlayMusic playlists not playing properly? It will play one song and then literally anything else

I've never changed any settings and it always used to work. I always play it be selecting "shuffle" not just play. It shuffles fine just uses anything in my music library
Just to confirm. Is this happening across devices? Could you try clearing the cache and restarting the device? Let us know if it does the trick.

It's been happening on my phone for about a week, which is where I use playlists. I've cleared the cache there & it's still the same. It plays 1 from the playlist I tell it to shuffle & then just starts playing any song. I've just tested on desktop, seems to be fine there.

Could you check if there are any pending updates available for the Google Play Music app? Also, could try uninstalling and reinstalling the app? Note: uninstalling the app will erase all downloaded data. Let us know if this helps.
