I tried to play a song in @GooglePlayMusic on iOS 11.4.1 (iPhone 8 plus). The app turned black with some gray borders still present, then my screen went black, then my phone restarted.
Thanks for that info. Please try these steps: Settings > Apps > Google Play Music > Disable and Enable the app > Restart. Note - this will delete your saved offline music.
