@GooglePlayMusic so why is it some of the album's and songs on my SD card no longer show up in my music library? I even took out my SD card and put it back in and they are still not there. They all show in my phone's settings so why not my library?

How do I restart after I refresh it? Close the app and open again? Also I'm on Android.
Yes, that's right! You can also try clearing the app's cache. Here's how: Play Music app > Menu > Settings > Clear cache. Keep us posted.

So I did all that and still I don't see those albums or songs from my SD card. It makes no sense that it would only show some of albums and songs and not all.

Try remounting your SD card with these steps: Go to your device Settings > Storage > Unmount SD card. Remove your micro SD card again from your device, then put it back in and restart. This should clear things up!
