The new YouTube music app is separate from Google Play Music (and nothing is changing with Google Play Music at this time!). We’ll provide plenty of notice before anything changes with Google Play Music.

Are our uploads with Google Play Music still to be safely transferred to Youtube Music? Also, do I really need to learn Youtube my favs again?

For now, nothing is changing with anything you’ve uploaded to Google Play Music and eventually, we’ll give you a way to migrate your entire library to YouTube Music.

Not at this time, but we're working on adding this functionality to YouTube Music & will support it before anything changes with Google Play Music. You'll need to setup your Google Home to play music from a select number of services. More info: https://yt.be/help/C19b

i tried opening the google play music app but it won't let me; it's been days now.. it's frustrating since i can't listen to the albums i bought and the music i downloaded...

Sorry to hear about the trouble – are you getting any error messages when you try to sign in? You can try to restart your device and clearing your app's cache, this usually resolves most issues. If that doesn't help, @ us your device & any errors!
