It still blows my mind that people were denied a seat and service based on melanin.

It still blows my mind that so many continue to judge/assume b/c of someone’s melanin...So stupid, so shallow. We need to learn, apologise, forgive & enjoy the cultures, talents, celebrate, strengths, fashions etc of each other. The division has to go!

I know it's a lot but I honestly hope there's a Google doodle for all 29 days. There is no shortage of incredible Black Americans and Black American moments to fill the space.

Sits-in challenged white supremacy. Good article here: “Negro Dissatisfaction With Slow Pace of Action On Rights Brings Sit-Ins and White Resistance” https://nyti.ms/1He5HTK . J. Ward’s book focuses on the origins of white resistance. #BlackHistoryMonth2020 #BlackHistoryMonthpic.twitter.com/pCDIjOTYmt

I was 3. I still remember the racism then compared to now. We must never allow our modernised world to go back to a dark, condemning past of putrid hatred against something as simple as skin color.

This is so crazy to me. This happened only two months before my birthday and as a child in California I can’t remember ever going to a segregated school or restaurant. Now living in the south I have a friend who told me her HS didn’t desegregate until her senior year.
