Nothing we do can make us righteous. That was the whole point of the law to teach us this truth that’s why we rest in Christ and have faith we are forgiven. If we have faith we are forgiven we admit the law is righteous but we are flawed and that upholds the law as good.

Real faith is obedience to the Torah . As with Israel 1st G-d saved the people from Egypt & then the Torah was given in Christ its very similar 1st we are saved and that grace allows us to become obedient !pic.twitter.com/u821or3fBw

That’s an excellent illustration. Just to clarify when I say we don’t follow the written code I mean the prophetic aspects of it that point to and have been fulfilled in Christ like all the holy days, Aaronic priesthood, animal sacrificing, temple worship etc

The written code as you call it is the Torah and some things we can not keep because the Temple is not standing , some are for women only , some are for men only etc etc. But there are still many we can keep Sabbath, Feasts, tithe, dietary, marriage covenants, etc etc

I disagree with observing the days but to say that it’s binding I dont agree with because if those days were prophetic and pointing to Christ then why is it that we are observing them still stings the reality has come already. It doesn’t make sense

If they pointed to Christ in HIS 1st coming why would they not once again point to HIS 2nd coming?

Yes there are prophecies that still are yet to be fulfilled fully but the new covenant I see as in effect now and replaces the old for instance what Jesus said about the law on divorce at Matthew 17:7-9. The NC is different but carries the spirit of the old.

Every covenant was initially new when it came to Noah it was new to Abraham it was new to the 2.1 million Israels at Sinai it was new you should not create theologies based on 1 word but rather use hermeneutics everything new is old when it comes to scriptures

Yes true that’s why I keep mentioning the prophecy at Jeremiah. By God saying I’m going to make a new covenant that’s not like the old one it’s not merely an add on it should be obvious to interpret it that this new covenant replaces the old one Hebrews 8:7-13 Colossians 2:13,14

Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law

And fulfill he did! What I find interesting is the account at Matt 19:16-21 where the man says what laws and Jesus mentions laws pertains to love of neighbor. Nothing about sabbath and circumcisions. You find these small implications of what’s to come with the new covenant.

Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven TORAH keeping again!!

For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

The good news is that you don't have to obey, or even pay any attention to the rantings of psychopathic & pedophilic men from 2000 years ago to be spiritual. Most of the superstitious nonsense from then was written by seriously mentally Ill people, so ignore it.
