He should have been let go completely long ago. If it had been your or my video in that forest, we'd be cut off immediately and arrested.
If you meant *fined, he can't. Japan has no jurisdiction in the US. If you meant fired, he can't because there's no legally binding contract that could be terminated for gross misconduct.

It is a shame that nothing can be done about his misdeeds in Japan other than what little YT will do.

The funny thing is that with the majority finding the Japanese Suicide forest video grossly inappropriate immediately puts it in contention with YT guidelines and should receive a strike. YT however state he has NO strikes as his videos haven’t breached any guidelines..

Oh he crossed guidelines and got away with it more than once. YouTube loves money. They could fire him if they cared.

He's not employed by them. That's not how YT works. The only punishment he can get is the same as anyone else, which would be strikes, demonitisation, video takedowns and in extreme misconduct, channel deletion.
