There's a very clear confusion going on here in the Australian media and with MPs - including Anthony Albanese. There is an official delegate's office of the Crown in Australia called the Governor General. There is also a man called David Hurley. They are 2 separate entities.

So, David Hurley wanted a big fat wad of govt money for a pet project, and Morrison gave it to him. Morrison wanted to be secretly sworn in to multiple ministries and Hurley got that done for him. The whole thing stinks of corruption.

Middleton is asked about the “grant” by regulation to a shell outfit signed off by the GG. With $15 mil up front and $4 mil annually in perpetuity. She says it has an ED but no website, and is registered as a charity. That the reg creating the grant can be disallowed. #Insiders

That's correct Australians don't realise how serious this is Scott Morrison has regulated that the GG's pet project will receive $4 million - every year! There is no end date in the document So it could cost taxpayers $40 million, $80 million - nobody knows #GGGate #Insiders

Huge legal challenge being heard this week re the biggest groundwater licence ever granted in the NT. It will drawdown the aquifer by 50m, kill up to 30% of groundwater dependent ecosystems and, like all water licences here, was given out for free.
