I love reserved list arguments because nobody understands the underlying problems with abolishing the reserved list, why Legacy is bullshit, and how simple the problem is to fix without breaking the reserved list.

Genuinely curious what your fix is.

1. Print Standard at "Modern" power level. (ie. Lightning Bolt) 2. Reprint relevant cards in Modern legal sets to push Modern closer to Legacy's diversity. This makes Standard feel better and Modern feel eternal. Let Legacy be what it is.

Not disagreeing this is something they should do, but I'm not sure that fixes anything. As game grows, supply of these decades old cards wanes. Only real non-abolishment/revision solution I see is to discontinue support for Eternal. Supporting EDH will also become unrealistic.

Even non-RL playable cards from pre-1995 sets are becoming very expensive. People want to play with/collect cool old cards.

I have cards in my possession literally falling apart b/c they've been played so much. Sleeves/double sleeves add some life, but we will hit a point where -- if we want the game to live on for another 30 years -- some kind of checklist card for power or whatever will be needed.
