Commander 2018 MSRP has apparently been raised to $39.99. This may seem minor and incremental to some, but I think it's VERY damaging to this fine product that has long served as an AFFORDABLE entry point to Commander. There IS a point where you price yourself out of the market.

Great, so stores can rase the prices even more. I love supporting my LGS but i never buy product like that at an LGS, because $35 msrp becomes $45-$50. It's not worth it at that point. I'll go to Wal-Mart or Amazon to get it within my price range.

Did they raise the price on all or just the popular ones?

They raised the price on all of them. The more popular ones were more expensive. TBH I get needing to make money as a business, but at the same time as a consumer I expect MSRP. I think the cheapest was cats at $40 and Wizards and Dragons at $50-$60.

If WOTC raises MSRP how high will the LGS market raise the price for the consumer. That's my big worry, will I be able to buy a commander deck next release?

That pretty unusual actually... a lot of stores will discount one and mark up another to keep them balanced. Nobody wants to burn through 10 cases and only have 8 cat decks left

Still if the MSRP is $35 and it's selling for $60. That's a $25 mark up. It would be easy for wizards to make MSRP $45 in coming years. Stores will be asking $70 and that's unreasonable for what you get in the decks.

I hear ya, but most stores don't jack MSRP on these until they're out of print
