Can anyone explain to me why Bitcoin is important to me if I don't need to launder money, buy drugs online, or get my wealth out of a country that won't let me export / invest internationally?

I accept bitcoin has value. I've profitied from bitcoin. I just don't see why everyone that invests in it pretends they're ushering in a new world order of currency.

2/ Maybe Bitcoin is not the new world order for currency but I think the real hype is around the underlying blockchain technology. That is REALLY ushering in a new world order.
