It's people who wasted their money on it spewing nonsense to others to get them to buy in so their shitty "investments" actually pay off.
Can anyone explain to me why Bitcoin is important to me if I don't need to launder money, buy drugs online, or get my wealth out of a country that won't let me export / invest internationally?

Crypto market cap is something like 25% of Apple. Meaning the large firms haven't stuck their hands in it (yet), the community exchanging $ is small, and there's huge upside for getting in early. Not a long term bet, but appears to be a lot of money to be had short term.
