So you're saying that you and your acquaintances could never have afforded Modern otherwise?
The fact that you're conscious of opportunity and intelligent about making purchases means you would have figured out how to get into modern eventually. The loudest advocates for mass reprints are the people that will NEVER BE able to afford the cards at any price.

I'm sure there are those out there who are bitching for the sake of bitching, but I would not call them the majority. I'm very vocal about reducing costs (James and I go 'round and 'round frequently) because it allows those on the cusp, an ability to play

And I know that there "will always be those on the cusp" but the more people we can get to play, without the prices falling to at/or below standard, the more we all win.
